Certifications Explained
To ensure your packaging is truly compostable and accepted by Grundon, it must carry one of these industry certifications:

TUV certifies that a product will fully decompose in industrial or home composting environments.
Look for:
• OK Compost INDUSTRIAL - degrades in industrial composting within 90 days.
• OK Compost HOME - breaks down in cooler, slower home compost heaps.

DIN CERTO certifies products according to EN 13432 / EN 14995 standards.
It means:
• The material is plant-based and breaks down into CO2, water, and biomass.
• No toxic residues or microplastics remain.
• Compostable in approved industrial facilities.

The Biodegradable Products Institute certifies compostables that meet ASTM D6400 or ASTM D6868 standards.
