Most of our food packaging is certified for industrial composting (EN 13432), while our compostable bin liners and resealable bags are certified for both home and industrial composting.   • Biofuture products are made from a range of responsibly sourced, compostable materials, including kraft paper, PLA (polylactic acid), PBAT and other plant-based materials, depending on the product. Each material is carefully selected to provide the performance required while meeting recognised compostability standards.   • Yes. Biofuture packaging is designed for food and beverage use using materials that are widely recognised as suitable for food contact, including food-grade kraft paper and compostable bioplastics such as PLA.   • Our packaging is designed to deliver the same reliable performance you'd expect from conventional alternatives, but suitability varies by product. While many products are suitable for hot, cold, greasy or frozen foods, some are better suited to specific applications than others. We recommend checking the individual product page for detailed guidance on the intended use of each product.

  • Our packaging is designed to deliver the practical performance expected from conventional food packaging while offering the added benefit of certified compostability. Biofuture works with specialist manufacturers to ensure products provide reliable durability for commercial foodservice without compromising sustainability.

  • Every purchase helps support global reforestation through our partnership with One Tree Planted. Biofuture also works to reduce plastic waste through certified compostable packaging and offers commercial compostables collection services in partnership with Grundon Waste Management for eligible business customers.

  • Unlike conventional plastic packaging, Biofuture products are made from certified compostable materials that are designed to break down naturally after use. Depending on the product, they are suitable for industrial composting, home composting, or both, helping reduce plastic pollution and support a more circular economy.

  • Compostable packaging is designed to be processed alongside food waste through industrial composting or anaerobic digestion. This helps reduce contamination between food waste and plastic waste streams while avoiding the long-term accumulation of conventional plastic and persistent microplastics in the environment.

  • When processed in a suitable industrial composting facility, Biofuture's certified compostable packaging breaks down into natural materials within the requirements of the EN13432 standard. It is designed to be collected alongside food waste, helping create compost while supporting a circular waste system.

  • Yes. Biofuture products are made using renewable, plant-based materials, and the company works with responsibly sourced materials as part of its commitment to creating sustainable packaging solutions.

  • Yes. All Biofuture products are manufactured to recognised compostability standards. Most of our food packaging is certified to the EN 13432 industrial compostability standard, while our compostable bin liners and resealable bags are certified by TÜV Austria for both home and industrial composting. Please refer to individual product pages for the certifications applicable to each product.

  • We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Available payment methods will be displayed securely at checkout.

  • Standard delivery is 1–2 working days and is free on all orders, with no minimum order quantity.

  • At the moment, we only offer delivery within the UK and do not provide international shipping.

  • You can track your order by logging into your account and going to “My Orders”. There you’ll be able to view your order status, order details, and download your invoice.

  • We offer a 30-day returns policy, giving you the right to cancel your order within 30 days of purchase. Returns are free for orders up to 20kg. For larger orders, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full details.

  • There is no minimum order quantity for purchases made through our online shop beyond the available pack sizes, making it a great option for smaller businesses. For wholesale orders, minimum quantities vary by product. If you have specific volume requirements, get in touch and we'll be happy to discuss the best solution for your business.

  • Yes. We offer product samples for businesses considering a wholesale order. Simply get in touch to discuss your requirements and we'll be happy to help.

  • Yes. We offer custom packaging design as part of our commercial services for businesses. Please note that minimum order quantities are typically higher than for our standard wholesale range. If you're interested in branded or bespoke packaging, get in touch to discuss your requirements.

  • Wholesale orders are typically dispatched within 24–48 hours. Custom printed or bespoke packaging orders usually have a lead time of 16–18 weeks, depending on requirements.

  • Yes. We offer ongoing supply agreements for repeat business customers. If you require regular or scheduled orders, we can tailor a supply arrangement to suit your volume and operational needs.
